Rope Access Knots!
In this video you will learn how to tie a barrelknot also known as a scaffold knot. In the last video you learned to tie a rethreaded figure of eight knot for the harness side of the cowstail. Now you will learn how to use a barrelknot on the carabiner side of the cowstails (or personal lanyard)
It is a relatively strong and dynamic knot (when dressed and set properly), it keeps your carabiner positioned correctly and it enables you gain just a few centimeters extra when suspended in you croll.
Other knots we might use are:
-Rethreaded figure of eight
-Alpine butterfly
-Stopperknot
-Bunny knot
-Figure of nine knot
Those knots we will get into in upcoming video’s
