The final day of Grimpday 2022. And it did not disappoint. Again! Today we had three different rope rescue trials in three very different locations.
I will take you through the trail/obstacle run on the commando training center, the rescue of a casualty out of a car at Namur train station using a Gin Pole setup and the last and definitely not least, a big rope rescue in a quarry with a nice twist in the plot for the rescue teams.

For trial number one I got to follow the Yes Ma’am rescue team through the commando training centers obstacle run. Running around with a big camera was quite the challenge, but the camera survived. Some of it was filmed on my phone.
For the second trial at the Namur train station I looked for the best filming access and lo and behold, I met up with Yes Ma’am again😃😃.
On the last trial I finally got to see Intervention Rescue in action. What a team! I mixed footage from RESQ in between to show both sides of the terrain. Luckily the chose a very similar method to execute those rescue. There were just a few tiny differences in rigging I think. Did you spot them? Leave a comment😃

After the three trials I will share my final thoughts on Grimpday 2022. And we end the video with a HUGE party and the award ceremony.
What an event and a privilege to be able to film so close. Thanks again to the Grimpday organisation for getting me right in the middle of the action.

Be sure to watch till the end for some thoughts on Grimpday and some of the great minds of the industry
