Something a little different during the summer holidays. No new rope access techniques this time. In this video you can see how we combine multiple different rope access methods to safely perform a UT inspection underneath some brackets on waterpipes. No abnormalities found. Everything was in pristine condition.
After the initial vertical aid climb, We use an “asap line” for easy up and down access. After we found the brackets to be painted over I went on top of the pipes and the inspector on the bottom to undo the brackets. We used three Grillons while on aid and had a rescue set standby on the top at the side.
