We learned how to descend or rappel down a rope. However in the rope access industry it is essential that you know how to climb up a rope using your rope access ascenders.
By combining the hand ascender (Petzl Ascension in this video) with a footcord and using that in conjunction with the integrated chest ascender of the Petzl Astro we can climb back up the rope.
